Shannon AirMed 1 is a joint effort between Shannon Medical Center and Temsco of Ketchikan, Alaska.  Shannon Medical Center provides experienced, well-trained crew members as well as state-of-the-art medical equipment.  Temsco Helicopters is dedicated to providing a safe, reliable aircraft with professionally trained pilots and maintenance staff.

Shannon AirMed 1 transports cardiac, trauma, medical, pediatric, and burn patients.  Transportation via AirMed 1 of critically ill or injured patients can significantly reduce time enroute to a hospital and allow patients to receive definitive care within the "GOLDEN HOUR," the first hour following injury, heart attack or another critical or life threatening condition.
